Marketing – Advertising to you on social media
We may share your email address (usually in an encrypted or ‘hashed’ form) with social media platforms and similar platform services (such as Facebook and Google) so that they can try to 'match' your data with the data of their users. Where there is a successful match, we then may display adverts for our products to you when you use the platform (e.g. on your Facebook newsfeed). This is known as “custom audience” advertising.
We may also share some basic data about you with social media platforms and other services such as Facebook and Google to find other customers who 'look like' you - this is known as 'look-alike' audience advertising and means that the platform can find and show our adverts to other users of its platform who have similar interests to you.
The data we share for these purposes is always obscured to protect your identity and is quickly deleted.
You can opt-out of social media advertising directly on the platforms themselves, or at any time by contacting us at MyData@TheEntertainer.com.
